It is fast and awesome to drive it at fast speeds.This is a PX Toys 9200e. its sold under a bunch of names but its the Piranha Truck. I'm 47 and have owned numerour hobby grade off road rc trucks and cars in the 1/10 and 1/12 th size. this is a heck of a value. While its actually 1/12 scale it uses a 540 can size motor rather than a 380 or 390 which is more common to 1/12th. The 540 can is the standard size for 1/10. the drive hubs and dog bones are metal. It has oil filled shocks although two of mine dont do much dampening. it comes with 2 lipo batts and a cheezy usb charger. get yourself a decent hobby charger that can do storage charges and proper discharges. the batts are advertized as 1700 mah, my 1st charge with them was maybe 1100 mah, however after running them in the car and using a passport p1 mini to storage charge them and then do a full balance, they are running around 1600. i get 12-13 minutes of full throttle running with the stock batts. truck is reasonably quick 18-20 mph. it changes directions easily and sometimes erratically, but it has a very low cq and is hard to roll. it handles jumps easily. youtube search px toys piranha its very easily modded for alot more speed and wl toys sells spare parts. range is about 50-60 yards.batteries are dirt cheap for these I have 4 more packs that will be here today for only $42this is a very cheap and very fun truck to get into rc with. pick up one of these, some extra batteries and real charger and you'll be set back less than $200. i'm having a blast with mine,This thing had been a ton of fun for me and my son. The controls are fast and consistent with little to no signal lag even at maximum range. I have a pretty dense yard (grass and debris) and this little bad boy tears right through. It's pretty stable on level ground and I've only gotten it stuck or flipped a handful of times.The only downside I've come across so far is that the battery goes quick. 10-20 minutes if you're running at maximum power or negotiating rough terrain. To compensate they've included a second battery that charges in roughly an hour.One other note that might be an issue. I'm not certain because I'm very new to RC vehicles but the connected battery tends to die on its own after a day or two even when the truck is switched off and it's not in use. Don't know if that's a design flaw or if it's something all RC cars do.Added note: I've really slammed this thing around in my yard. Crashed into trees, run through dirt, dust, and ash, gotten tangled in vines, and really put it through its paces and it still runs the same as when it came out of the box.My 10 year old boy was amazed with this small random last minute gift I had gotten as we waited on his Godzilla Megalodon 1984 addition delivery was running a day late. My last minute thinking save my day he was non-stop playing and enjoying it and was surprised with the speed and the performance out in the desert as we set on the back of my truckI purchased this for a Father’s Day gift. It work great the first few weeks but the battery doesn’t charge as good as it did two weeks ago. If it wasn’t for the battery issue this would have been a great purchase.Overall the car is pretty fun, due to it being mostly plastic, it did break the second day I had it.The return process was very smooth and easy, and the second car that I received has been nothing but great.Bought as a gift and new owner seemed pleased. No complaintsThe remote is convent for small kids. you can turn down the throttle power to avoid high speed crashes.
